Rattan Furniture
Rattan furniture is sometimes confused with other materials such as wicker. The Rattan is actually a relative of what is known as a tropical palm. But instead of growing as tall as a palm tree, the limbs are growing up and then bend down towards the ground before snaking out like vines through trees and other plants that can be around it. These vines are usually cut when they have grown to be between 12 and 18 feet long, which may take a few years.
When the rattan is cut it is dry before you turn it into things like rattan furniture. Rattan has existed for centuries and is considered a high quality, reliable and affordable options for building materials. This is especially true when it comes to furniture. Actually rattan is known for being one of the strongest materials available, which is why so many people choose this type of furniture to decorate their outdoor spaces as it can stand up to weather all year round.
